John McEwen

John McEwen’s connection to Middle Tennessee is rooted in both the land and the real estate business.

His grandmother was born on the Buffalo River, and John and his brother were raised with a deep appreciation for the river, the outdoors, and the rural landscape of Middle Tennessee. Their mother spent countless days with them on the Buffalo River, instilling a love of the land, water, wildlife, and natural beauty that continues to influence John today.

On his father’s side, John’s family has been rooted along the Duck River since 1881, when they acquired the family farm and home where John still lives today. He is the fifth generation of his family to call it home, with his brother’s son representing the sixth.

John’s father was a real estate professional for more than 30 years, and from him John learned that selling real estate is about much more than putting a sign in the ground. He learned the importance of knowing your market, understanding people, working hard, keeping your word, and treating every transaction as an opportunity to earn a lasting relationship.

For nearly 20 years, John has specialized in farms, recreational properties, riverfront land, timber, hunting properties, and exceptional country estates throughout Middle Tennessee. His deep local roots and firsthand understanding of the land give him a perspective that is difficult to replicate.

John is also a strong advocate for conservation and responsible land stewardship. He believes the land we inherit is something we are entrusted to care for—not simply something to buy and sell.

Whether representing a family farm, a sporting property, or a remarkable country estate, John’s goal is to combine experience, thoughtful guidance, and exceptional marketing to help his clients make good decisions and achieve the best possible outcome.
