Dan McEwen entered the real estate business fresh out of Maryville College, in 2004. The foundations of his career can be found growing up with his brother John on the Buffalo and Duck Rivers, with one side of his family in the business of farming, and the other in real estate. He, along with his brother, would eventually become 3rd generation real estate brokers, with his son Lewis, being a 6th generation McEwen to grow up around the family farm, settled in 1868. From 2019-2022, Dan has represented $385 million in sales throughout the greater Nashville region and has been instrumental in expanding the family businesses capabilities to better serve the growing clientele. He has been a leader in handling some of the largest and most complex real estate transactions in Middle Tennessee and is proud to have been working for his clients’ families over the last 19 years. Dan’s honesty and loyalty have branded him one of the go-to individuals in Tennessee for long-term business relationships and friendships with his clients. His deep understanding of the real estate market and landscape is inherently driven from years of experience, but also the lifelong attachments to communities like Columbia, Centerville, and Lobelville, where he has found a way to be a voice for the conservation of the waterways and regional habitat in-which so many of his friends and neighbors live near and within. He is an active member of his church, First Presbyterian in downtown Columbia, a supporter of multiple non-profit youth and conservation organizations, and an active parent along with his wife Lucy to their four children. In his spare moments, he can almost always be found fishing for smallmouth bass or running around his Duck River farm with the kids, where he pours into it a fascination for land and wildlife management for his family and friends to share in and enjoy.
